| Abstract Scope |
Ideally for pressure vessels in service, its nondestructive examination (NDE) must be regulated by codes, since the installation of these vessels has already been governed by legislation. This presentation is intended to explore those requirements, from technical advancement, construction codes, vessel inspection practice, and NDE personnel qualification perspective. The owner/operator may practice specialized NDE, the technical part of which may or may not be considered in construction or in-service codes. It usually takes time for the most recent techniques to be incorporated into the codes. |
