Abstract Scope The chemical composition of the complex-modified heat-resistant alloy ЖС3ДК-ВІ (taking into account the presence of yttrium, hafnium and niobium in the alloy), macro- and microstructure, mechanical and heat-resistant properties of experimental cast samples after standard heat treatment, meet the requirements of ОСТ 1.90.126-85. Heat-resistant properties also meet the increased requirements put forward by developers of modern aircraft engines and power units. Carbides and carbonitrides in the studied samples of the complex-modified alloy ЖС3ДК-ВІ are released mainly in the form of discrete globular particles uniformly distributed in the volume of the metal. The microstructure of the samples is satisfactory, corresponds to the normally heat-treated state of the ЖС3ДК-ВІ alloy.
