| Abstract Scope |
Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) pioneered using of the extended surface filtration (commonly known as extended surface filter bag and cage) aiming to support EGA smelters to increase aluminium production and reduce environmental emissions. These filters enhance energy efficiency and lower operational costs by optimizing filtration to meet stringent standards. Over the past decade, EGA has gained extensive experience in transitioning to these filters, developing tailored strategies to address operational challenges and limitation. We will explore engineering principles, material enhancements, and technologies for monitoring and maintenance, illustrating how EGA’s advancements set new industry benchmarks in sustainability. |
