| Abstract Scope |
Some aluminium companies are removing primary (aluminized) clothing from their workplaces in response to their workers’ complaints of discomfort. This decision unknowingly exposes workers to serious health effects associated with radiant heat exposure. While the employer is exposed to future litigation. This lack of education and awareness of the hazards associated with radiant heat is very bad. There is a lack of knowledge of how workplaces can keep their workers comfortable while wearing aluminized clothing. This paper will review the method and techniques of how ten separate workplaces (in the hottest climates) keep their workers cool while performing tasks with and around molten metal. Some companies are incorrectly removing primary (aluminized) clothing from their workplaces. This lack of knowledge can lead to health complications involving the heart, liver, kidneys, and sterility |
