The rapid adoption of third-generation semiconductors, SiC and GaN, has shifted the performance bottleneck in power electronics from active devices to magnetic passives. Soft magnetic composites (SMCs) are promising candidates to meet the performance gap between high-magnetization, low-electrical-resistance metallic alloys and low-magnetization, high-electrical-resistance ferrites. In this work, we reported a multiscale computational framework for calculating permeability and hysteresis loss. The framework combines micromagnetic simulation with the Preisach model to investigate SMCs at micro-, meso-, and macroscales, serving as a tool to guide the computational design of high-magnetization, low-loss SMCs. The method is demonstrated to investigate the Sendust (Fe-Si-Al)- based SMC and qualitatively agrees with the experimental results.
