| Abstract Scope |
In the innovative materials industry, the need for extreme environment materials having high temperature strength, wear resistance, and oxidation resistance is increasing. In this paper, we conducted a process study to give functionality and shape to existing ferrous materials by powder L-DED method to improve high temperature performance. To combine two materials with different melting points in the L-DED process, the powder supply control and the reactivity control with the base were performed. The additive thickness and the formed phase characteristics according to the process variables were analyzed through microstructural observation, and a property test was performed. The functional material using the heat-resistant material greatly improved performance while maintaining the advantages of existing materials. |
