| Abstract Scope |
In this talk, we present various device architecture of thermoelectric devices and systems for several special applications. First, I am going to talk about architecture for body heat harvesting application aiming to operate sensors and actuators for healthcare application. We are going to present our recent efforts to build a compact vital band which contains wearable sensors, unintermittent power supply, and flexible circuits located at a single location. Secondly, we present a new device architecture for waste heat recovering for low $/W system and refrigeration. The unique structure reduced material consumption by 60% (low $), and at the same time increase power output by 230%. Finally, I am going to deliver our efforts for realizing ‘thermal haptics’ which can distinguish objects even with the same temperature based on thermoelectric refrigeration and heating. Overall, this talk can provide emphasis on device architecture without increasing thermoelectric properties of materials. |
