Abstract Scope |
California Nanotechnologies (Cal Nano) utilizes cryogenic milling and Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS), also known as Field-Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST), to enable the rapid development and densification of advanced powder-based materials. Cryogenic milling enhances powder reactivity through particle refinement and defect introduction, improving sinterability and allowing for precise microstructural control.
This approach supports the processing of ceramics, metals, composites, and emerging systems such as high entropy alloys, especially for use in extreme environments. By combining advanced powder conditioning with rapid, low-temperature sintering, Cal Nano enables scalable solutions from R&D to manufacturing.
Aligned with the contributions of Professor Eugene Olevsky, our work underscores the value of innovative powder processing and densification techniques in advancing the performance and applicability of next-generation materials. |
