Abstract Scope |
A cantilever creep methodology is expanded as a screening test for the effects of alloying and processing variables on the time dependent deformation of sheet molybdenum & tungsten base metals. Predicting creep deformation of refractory metal guides the design parameters in high temperature applications. Pure metal creep parameters from the cantilever creep will be compared published values for establish/validating this testing methodology. Alloys of molybdenum and tungsten are subsequently compared to the pure metal performance. |
