| Abstract Scope |
Hazelett’s Twin-Belt Casting Technology has a long history and extensive working reference list in producing flat rolled products for the aluminum industry. It is the only commercially proven, continuous casting process with widths up to 2 meters capable of producing both high and low-alloy-containing products. Recent publications have presented comparisons between block and twin-belt casters that warrant further examination. This paper will explore both technologies from an operational perspective based upon actual experience of each. |
