Abstract Scope The work deals with the quality control of zinc coatings applied to steels by galvanic, methods under SHS, F-charge conditions and in a hot state. A new integral standard ICP-Zn was used to control the quality of zinc coatings, which provides operational properties, microstructure, phase composition, zinc coating thickness, as well as the integral deposition rate and current efficiency. 0.32-0.71 - medium quality, 0.72-1.0 - high quality. The quality control of zinc coatings can be carried out promptly using triopol, as well as with a full assessment of the properties using quattropol. New data were obtained on the gradual and phase composition of zinc coatings consisting of the phases: G - phase,. in the form of a very narrow dark strip. The closure is dense with very low porosity. An increase in corrosion resistance in a 3% NaCl solution by 27-35% was established compared to galvanic galvanizing of steel sheets.
