Graphene oxide (GO) has emerged as a promising nanofiller for polymer composites due to its high specific surface area and oxygen-containing functional groups, which enhance interfacial adhesion and structural integrity. This study investigates the effect of GO on the thermal behavior of hybrid flax/aramid–epoxy composites. Laminates with a 2A/2L stacking sequence were fabricated and characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), derivative thermogravimetry (DTG), differential thermal analysis (DTA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). TGA showed that thermal degradation began near 285 °C, with the main decomposition occurring between 300 and 380 °C. DTG exhibited a single dominant degradation peak, indicating that GO modified degradation kinetics without changing the overall decomposition mechanism. Overall, GO improved the thermal response of the composites by strengthening matrix–fiber interfacial interactions and increasing thermal stability, demonstrating its potential for lightweight multifunctional materials in advanced structural applications. |
