Alkaline iron ore pellets were prepared by adding a binder with total iron content of 33.5%. Although water absorption rate (2h) of the binder was 180%, the swelling capacity and methylene blue absorption capacity were not detected. With the increase in the proportion of the binder, the compressive strength of alkaline iron ore pellets after roasting showed an increasing trend, while reduction swelling index showed a decreasing trend. Compared with the scheme which used bentonite, the compressive strength of alkaline iron ore pellets after roasting decreased, while the reduction swelling index increased, but the extent was not significant. |
