Abstract Scope |
Powder metallurgy relies heavily on the precise control of powder behavior prior to sintering. In this work, we apply Prometech’s advanced particle simulation platform to visualize and quantify powder packing density, cohesion, and rearrangement during compaction and pre-sintering processes. The simulations enable insights into green body integrity and pore distribution, which directly impact final sintered properties. The methodology provides a predictive framework for evaluating the effect of powder characteristics and pressing parameters, offering a cost-effective virtual tool for optimizing sintering protocols in industrial powder processing environments. |
