| Abstract Scope |
Pot cover is important components in reduction pots. This component serves to retain heat and harmful gases to remain within pots area while maintaining temperature stability that protects operator from direct exposure and prevents emissions from polluting working environment. However, current side cover design in INALUM has a number of weaknesses such as a structure that easily bends, unable to withstand big loads, and too heavy so that it risks work safety and operational efficiency. To answer this problem, a new pot cover design was developed in INALUM with several improvements that have at least two times stronger curve structure equipped by footstep area, precise construction to prevent gas leakage, and lighter weight for easy handling. The study aims to evaluate feasibility new design side cover through tests of strength, ergonomics, and maintenance efficiency. The expected result is improved work safety, productivity, and operational sustainability reduction pots in INALUM. |
