The blast furnace tuyere is one of the key equipment of blast furnace ironmaking. It is responsible for continuously inputting hot air and pulverized coal to the blast furnace, providing physical heat, oxidant and fuel for the blast furnace.
The tuyere life of a super-large blast furnace ( 5500m3 ) in Shougang is short. More than 10 tuyeres are replaced every month, and the average tuyere life is only 80-90 days. In order to extend the life of the tuyere, a series of acceptance technology research has been carried out, including tuyere damage investigation, cooling water quality improvement, cooling water volume and water speed improvement, tuyere coating development, tuyere fire-resistant protective sleeve development and other technologies. Through the above technical research and industrial test, the monthly tuyere damage is reduced to less than 7, and the tuyere life is increased to 150 days. |
