| Abstract Scope |
A single material testing campaign produces many forms of data: raw output signals, reduced stress-strain curves, specimen metadata, and calibrated constitutive parameters. These are usually kept in separate files whose provenance and units rest on convention. We present DynaMat, an ontology-driven platform for quasi-static and split-Hopkinson bar experiments in which the ontology is the application schema. Every form field, unit, and validation rule is read at runtime from RDF/OWL annotations, and the same description makes the records FAIR through standard SPARQL queries. Specimens, experiments, and calibrations are recorded as linked data. Measured quantities carry QUDT units and uncertainties, quality cards attach metrics to each test and fit, and every calibrated card retains a provenance chain to the tests that produced it. We validate the system through batch finite-element simulations, comparing the simulated response across many calibrated cards with the experimental curves to rank calibrations by physical fidelity. |
