| Abstract Scope |
Additively Manufactured (AM) parts on Commercial Transport Airplanes must comply with Part 25 FAA Regulations and fulfill the business needs of the industry. These considerations create unique challenges for widespread adoption of Metal AM parts within Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). This presentation will overview these unique challenges and discuss how new qualification methods and process improvements currently in development within the AM industry can support the Commercial Transport Airplane OEMs to overcome these challenges. |
