Abstract Scope |
High entropy alloys (HEAs) are promising metallic alloys due to their unique mechanical properties. Regarding their superior mechanical properties, magnetic properties of HEAs have also attracted increasing attention. This current study focuses on synthesis and development of Fe-Co-Ni-Al-Cu-Ti HEAs and investigated the phase formation, microstructure, magnetic and mechanical properties of Fe-Co-Ni-Al-Cu-Ti HEAs using combined characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), optic microscope(OM), hardness and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). This study details the effects of Cu, Ti and Co on microstructure, magnetic properties – and hardness of HEAs under as-cast and isothermally annealed conditions. |
