Mextra is Brazil's leading supplier of aluminum powder for aluminothermic, refractory, and other metallurgical processes. The company produces various grades of aluminum powder, as well as aluminum and titanium alloys for the steelmaking and welding industries. These products are made from nearly 100% recycled materials. Mextra stands out because it can recycle aluminum cans, UBCs, clean sheets, stripped wires, perforated titanium sheets, thick titanium turnings, chips, and coins. Melting and alloying are fully carried out in an open induction furnace, maintaining a metal yield of up to 96%. Aluminum alloys are cast into SOW ingots that are suitable for customers' remelting processes. Titanium ferroalloy is poured into molds, crushed, and milled according to FeTi 70% specifications for HSLA steels, stick electrodes, and cored wires. The electric energy used for the recycling process in the induction furnace comes from clean, renewable sources, and GHG emissions are net zero. |
