| Abstract Scope |
The increasing generation of spent coffee grounds, driven by global coffee consumption, has encouraged the search for sustainable alternatives for reusing this residue, whose improper disposal poses environmental challenges. This study presents a bibliometric mapping of research on spent coffee grounds as reinforcement in epoxy resin composites for application in High-Performance Flooring (HPF). Searches were performed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases using terms related to spent coffee grounds, polymer composites, and flooring. The analysis covered scientific journal articles published between 2016 and 2026. Bibliometric maps were generated with VOSviewer software based on keyword co-occurrence. The results showed that most studies focus on the mechanical performance of these composites, while very few investigate their use in HPF. These findings highlight a significant research gap regarding flooring applications and emphasize the originality and scientific relevance of the present study, supporting future investigations into sustainable composite materials for high-performance applications. |
