Abstract Scope Available data of neutron irradiated or molten salt exposed structural materials relevant for advanced nuclear designs is limited. Data from simultaneous neutron irradiation and molten salt exposure is especially rare. Through a Nuclear Science User Facility (NSUF) Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research program, steel and graphite specimens were irradiated while simultaneously exposed to Flibe within the MIT reactor. This irradiation campaign involved several institutions across many domains of expertise and yielded significant lessons learned throughout the multi-year process of test program planning and execution. Overall findings surrounding test campaign development, test assembly design, reactor irradiation, specimen extraction and handling, and post-irradiation examination will be presented.
