| Abstract Scope |
This study employed the FactSage software to conduct thermodynamic analysis on the hydrothermal preparation of boehmite from industrial alumina as the raw material. Thermodynamic calculations of the Al2O3-H2O reaction system and construction of phase diagrams under different conditions revealed that at reaction temperatures of 140-300℃, the corresponding system exhibits a saturated vapor pressure range of 8-50 MPa, constituting the thermodynamic region for stable boehmite formation. The Gibbs free energy of the hydrothermal conversion reaction ranges from -21.65 kJ/mol to 0 kJ/mol, indicating spontaneous reaction capability. Additionally, maintaining appropriate high pressure helps preserve the liquid-phase reaction environment and shorten the nucleation induction period, while strict pH control ensures uniform nucleation of boehmite crystals. This study provides theoretical support for the hydrothermal preparation of boehmite for lithium-ion battery coatings from industrial alumina and for process optimization. |
