Keynote
Predicting the Influence of Microstructure on the Strength and Fracture Resistance of Advanced High Strength Steels: Allan Bower1; 1Brown University
Microstructure-scale simulations, calibrated by microscale and coupon-scale experiments, will be used to address two questions: (1) How do the properties and volume fractions of the phases present in advanced high strength steels (AHSS) control its strength and fracture resistance? and (2) Can we find microstructures that improve the strength and fracture resistance of AHSS?
