Symposium Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

Scope Various advances in manufacturing technologies have been researched to develop new, efficient, green and near-zero waste approaches convert novel and traditional materials into intermediate and/or final products. The main objective of the symposium is to provide a platform to share, learn and enhance the understanding of different manufacturing technologies in utilizing different material systems to promote R&D activities. The symposium will address recent advances in material removal processes (EDM, laser, high speed machining, micro-machining), material forming processes (deep drawing, hydro-forming, stretch forming, impact-assisted forming, superplastic forming, laser forming, micro-forming), particulate-based manufacturing (powder forming, ceramic manufacturing, laser deposition); rapid manufacturing (laser sintering, layer-based, etc.) as well as materials processing technologies, particularly for, but not limited to lightweight alloys.

Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:
