| Scope |
The Aluminum Reduction Technology Symposium, along with Alumina and Bauxite, Cast Shop Technology, Electrode Technology, Recycling Technology, and Reactive Metals, collectively form the Light Metals Symposium, where experts from the Light Metals Industry and academia from all over the world meet each other and share information. You are invited to submit papers in the following subject areas: Cell Operation (Performance and Operating Advances); Cell Start-Up and Early Operation; Cell Modernization and Productivity Increase; Process Control; Modeling of Cell Design; Environmental Aspects; Fundamentals; Bath Chemistry; Power Modulation; Power Supply Improvements; Inert Anode Operation and Emerging Reduction Processes.
A joint Reduction/Cast Shop session is proposed, devoted to the Reduction/Cast Shop interface. Papers on topics such as bath carry-over impact and prevention, metal loss, metal purity capture, sodium and other impurities, equipment, and logistics enhancement, are requested.
A session on Sustainability, Environmental, and Specific Energy Consumption Issues is planned. Papers on this topic are strongly encouraged.
A session dedicated to Maintenance Best Practices; Planning and Scheduling, Reliability, Autonomous Maintenance, is planned. Papers on these important challenges are welcomed. In addition, papers on Modeling of Currents, Magnetics, Metal Topography, Aluminum Production will be collected in a special session to honour Professor Jim Evans.
Papers are requested for these joint sessions.
