Scope This international symposium will be held to celebrate the 80th birthday of Prof. John Campbell, to celebrate his life-long contributions to the understanding of metal castings, his vision and his friendship. This will be the 7th Shape Casting symposium, which has been a well-attended event that produced a proceedings each time. As in the past, papers will be invited in the following topics:

- liquid metal quality and solidification of castings
- structure-property relationships in metal castings
- Properties (tensile, fatigue, etc.) of castings
- Innovations in metal casting production technologies
