The information presented and discussed is not regularly found in technical presentations and complements the Additive Manufacturing workshop. The format of this workshop combines presentations and open discussion sessions with the attendees on multiple topics including powder science, safety regulations and guidelines, best lab and manufacturing practices, and case studies from industry and research. Materials to be discussed include metal, ceramic, and polymer powders and powder processing (e.g., powder production, consolidation) will be covered only in terms of powder requirements and the effect of processing on powder quality. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and share their experiences with specific applications, best practices, and lessons learned.
