Scope |
The aluminum industry emits 1.1 billion tons of CO2e per year. Decarbonization of the sector remains a significant challenge. Reducing all GHG emissions has been a long-held ambition for the sector. PFC emissions in particular have been reduced significantly in recent decades due to better process controls, measurement and technological advances.
This symposium will look at the ways emissions from primary aluminium production processes are measured and reported with the ultimate aim of overall reduction.
Paper are welcome on:
GHG estimates or life cycle analysis
Decarbonization pathways
Key technologies, processes or mechanisms that can reduce emissions
Total PFC measurement, reporting and reduction efforts |
