Scope In the field of material science and engineering, continuous exploration and collaborations are key to unlocking new frontiers and addressing complex challenges. The symposium on "IGNITE MSE: Thinking Outside the Lab" aims to bring together a diverse group of MSE professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts to drive ideas, collaboration, and communication within the community.

The symposium will include engaging keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions, and networking workshops to develop interpersonal skills. The dynamic workshops will encompass a wide range of topics and themes, including (1) professional development for early career researchers and engineers (2) industry-academia collaboration and partnerships (3) leadership and management skills for engineers (4) professional ethics and responsible engineering. Each workshop will offer a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical examples, and collaborative activities to promote networking.

Besides the symposium, the “Broader Impacts of Science Posters” session is open to all. This poster session emphasizes the wider outreach of science to make it more accessible, inclusive, and beneficial to society. This session encourages work that examines the ethical and social consequences of scientific progress, engages with underrepresented communities, and implements educational and outreach initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in an inclusive environment that promotes knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking opportunities. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, share their research findings, gain valuable insights, and foster new perspectives.

Note: Industrial and academic experts in the field who facilitate the workshops and provide valuable insights are based on invitation only. The poster session is open to all for submitting abstracts.
