||Over the past few years, there have been major upheavals in the state of the global aluminum industry. Refining, smelting and downstream aluminum production facilities have been growing rapidly in lower cost regions such as the Middle East, or high demand regions, such as China. In the Western world, growth has been flat in some areas and declining in others with many facilities being shuttered or under threat of being closed. Where does the industry go from here?
