Scope Additive Manufacturing is one of the emerging fields, which is seen as the manufacturing process for the future. AM continues to attract attention of professional communities including research, design, and process engineers. However, more research is required to fully understand the capabilities of these processes and the correlation between process conditions, process parameters, microstructure and other material properties. Another main challenge is alloy development, where it has been realized that alloys specific for additive manufacturing processes should be developed in order to completely utilize the benefits of these additive manufacturing processes. This symposium will focus on alloy development and materials processing for the different additive manufacturing processes. In addition, emphasis will be placed on understanding the capabilities of the processes and the correlation between process conditions, process parameters, microstructure and other material properties. We invite papers on alloy design and development, processing of materials and properties of metallic AM materials will be covered within the scope of this symposium.

Suitable topics for this symposium include, but not limited to:

- Ferrous alloys including steels
- Al-based alloys
- Cu-based alloys
- Co-based alloys
- Mg-based alloys
- High entropy alloys
- Intermetallics
- Metallic glasses
- Metal matrix composites (including cermets and ODS alloys)
- Precious metals
