Scope This symposium will provide a platform for the worldwide academic and industrial researchers in the field of solidification, casting and molten metal processing to present the very recent advances concerning the fundamental and applied research in ultrasonic processing of liquid and solidifying alloys, and its applications in industry.

For example, the improvement of quality, structure and properties of aluminium, magnesium alloys, and many other advanced metallic alloys and composites through application of ultrasonic cavitation and mixing gained a lot of interest in the last 15 years, and is now spreading into industrial applications.

The symposium topic will cover, but is not limited to, modelling, advanced in-situ studies, experimental studies and physical simulations, technology development and industrial applications.
