Scope |
It is well known that most additive manufacturing technologies produce near net shape parts only. Various types of post-processing are usually needed to transform an as-built part to a part ready for use.
This symposium covers all aspects of post-processing of metal AM parts. Post-processing includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Powder removal and recovery
- Support removal
- Stress relief treatment
- Heat treatment
- Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP)
- Machining and other subtractive post-processes
- surface finishing (mechanical, chemical and electrochemical)
We welcome contributions discussing equipment and methods for AM post-processing, as well as results obtained with different post-processing technologies. |
