Scope |
Considerable research work has been conducted on how to incorporate nano carbon materials into pure and alloy metals to improve 1) electrical and thermal conductivity, 2) mechanical properties and, 3) any combination of both. An emphasis will be on in situ production of nano carbon structures by conversion of activated carbon in molten metals commonly called "covetics". Basic research papers through to specific application efforts will be selected and presented. Aluminum, copper, silver, lead and zinc as well as other metal alloys will be presented. |
