Scope The Sulfide Flotation technical theme is one of four technical themes for Extraction 2018.

The Sulfide Flotation symposium will focus on a variety of aspects impacting the flotation of base and precious metals such as Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, PGM, Au, and Ag. The meeting will emphasize practical applications; each session being a forum for metallurgists, scientists and operators to come together to address challenges facing the industry. The main themes are identified below, with multiple sessions planned:

- Flotation plant design and operational challenges.
- Flotation process mineralogy and geometallurgy
- New developments in flotation chemistry
- Recent advances in flotation equipment
