Scope |
The second biennial Technological Innovations in Metals Engineering (TIME) conference will be held at Youngstown State University June 2-4, 2020. The conference is sponsored by TMS and is designed to foster mutual engagement between suppliers and consumers of metal technologies. The purpose is to provide vision for the research and development efforts of the technological metal community.
The conference welcomes participants with interests in applied research, technology development, technology transition and implementation in metals engineering with emphasis on innovations relevant to the metals industry. Key topics of interest for TIME 2020 are:
- Additive manufacturing
- Metals processing through shaping, forming, and solidification
- Alloys and critical materials
- Applications
- Industry 4.0 in Metals Engineering: Robotics, IoT, AI/ML, and Automation
Within these topic areas, presentations are sought that involve the full range of metals innovations and technologies including: metals processing, characterization, in situ monitoring, alloy and temper development, non-destructive evaluation, process planning, and modeling & simulation.
