||Fatigue Properties of Ti-6Al-4V Additively Manufactured by Selective Electron Beam Melting

The fatigue properties of Ti-6Al-4V additively manufactured by selective electron beam melting (SEBM) have been investigated under a range of conditions, including (i) as-built, (ii) as-built + hot isostatic pressing (HIP); (iii) various surface conditions; and (iv) different sample geometries. The results are compared with literature data on the fatigue properties of Ti-6Al-4V manufactured by different means including other additive manufacturing approaches. The purpose is to improve the current understanding of the fatigue behaviour of SEBM-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V due to increasing industry demand for fatigue-critical applications of Ti-6Al-4V components.
