Abstract Scope |
The influence of tempering and quench-tempering treatment on the mechanical properties of HSLA-100 steel (with C-0.036, Mn-0.88, Cu-1.61, Cr-0.55, Mo-0.57, Ni-3.64, and Nb-0.033 pct) has been studied. The plate samples were tempered from 540 oC to 670 oC for 1 hour after austenitizing and water quenching (Q&T-condition), and also comparable samples were just tempered (T-Condition) after thermo-mechanical controlled rolling. Results show the optimum mechanical properties obtained at 650 0C in Q&T- condition. |
