| Abstract Scope |
The present work attempt to study the texture changes of several experimental grades of silicon electric steels deformed in two different rolling programs. Six different compositions of silicon content were studied: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 %wt Si for every rolling program. Optical microscopy studies showed several differences on the microstructures obtained in all samples. The texture evolution in this type of steels is critical in its electrical performance, which is the main reason of this study. Twelve different conditions were analyzed by Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and the pole figures, orientation maps and fraction area were obtained and compared. |
