||Roasting Pretreatment- low Temperature Digestion Method for Comprehensive Utilization of High-sulfur Bauxite

Distributions of high-sulfur bauxite in China and treatment methods are introduced. Roasting Pretreatment- Low temperature Digestion Method presented by Northeastern University is presented in this paper aiming for comprehensive utilization of high-sulfur bauxite. Experimental results show that bauxite by preroasting in muffle furnace can effectively removal with the form of pyrite sulfur element in bauxite, increased with the increase of roasting temperature and roasting time and roasting the sulfur content in the mine is reduced, when the calcinations temperature is 850 ℃, the roasting time for 10 min, roasting the sulfur content in the mine can be below 0.17%. Dissolution performance of roasted ore were higher than that of raw ore, low energy consumption production process with high-sulfur bauxite can be achieved by this method.
