||Investigation of Integrated Recycling Waste Heat and Slag Resources Using Single Hot Thermocouple Technique

In the present work, we investigated thermophysical properties of a series of Blast Furnace Slags (BF-Slags) using Single Hot Thermocouple Technique with the purpose of integrated recycling the waste heat and slag resources. The crystallization behaviors and microscopic structures of a quaternary CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3 were identified herein and we proposed the clue of slag heat recovery via crystallization control and structural control. It was found that with increasing Al2O3 content, the crystallization ability of slags was first decreased and then increased with the transition point of ~15wt. % Al2O3, indicating the difficulty of slag heat recovery was first decreased and then increased. Additionally, based on the “TTT” diagrams of slags, the multi-stage control of slag heat recovery was proposed.
