Abstract Scope |
The Mn-Zn ferrite compacts prepared from powders were heated using microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.45 GHz. The mechanism of microwave field interaction with dielectric behaviour and the characteristics of electromagnetic loss of the soft ferrite in the microwave field were discussed in detail. The characteristics of Mn-Zn ferrite powder compacts heated by microwave and the factors that influence the temperature of a dielectric material in a microwave field such as the permeability μi, and dielectric constant εr were studied. The mechanism of microwave sintering is the coupling of the microwave energy and the kinetic energy of the molecular system, which results in the dissociation of ions in the molecule. |
