| Abstract Scope |
In this research, the on-line mechanical property prediction system for cold rolled and annealed stainless steel has been developed. The mechanical properties such as hardness or yield strength are predicted by considering both chemical compositon and process conditions. Based on the predicted value, the mechanical property deviation can be reduced by controlling not only annealing furnace temperature but also skin pass rolling. The prediction accuracy of new system has been verified by comparing actual plant data. |
