| Abstract Scope |
The Microstructure, properties and deformability of Ti-45Al-9(V,Nb,Y) (at%) alloy with different x=V/Nb have been investigated in this paper. The alloys exhibit fine near lamellar microstructure with a lamellar colony size of about 30-80μm and lamellar spacing of 100-500nm, and a small amount of β and γ phases along colony boundaries. Some disperse Y-rich particles are found as the YAl2 and Y2O3 phase. With increasing of x=V/Nb, the amount of β phase and yield strength of the Ti-45Al-9(V,Nb,Y) (at%) alloy at room temperature increased. The cyclic oxidation test in static air at 800℃ for 80h showed that Ti-45Al-9(V,Nb,Y) alloy exhibited excellent oxidation resistance, and an obvious oxidation scal with a strip structure mainly composed of TiO2 and Al2O3 phase formed when x=1. The deformability of Ti-45Al-9(V,Nb,Y) alloy at 1200℃ with a deformation of 60% and strain rate of 0.01s-1 increased with x=V/Nb increased. |
