Abstract Scope |
The room-temperature formability of Mg and its alloys is usually limited due to the limited independent easily-activated slip systems. Lithium additions can improve the room temperature formability of magnesium. A systematic study will be presented on the texture evolution and mechanical properties in Mg-Li alloys. The results of this study shed light on the deformation mechanism and relationship between texture evolution and mechanical properties in Mg-Li alloys after thermomechanical treatments. Specifically, the co-deformation mechanism of α-Mg and β-Li phase in duplex Mg-Li alloy will be discussed.
