Recently, in the development of vehicle parts, regarding environment friendliness, contrary to the regulations on the protection of resources, recycling, exhaust gas management, etc., it is demanding an increase in vehicle weight. To solve the automobile technology development goal, the weight of the vehicle which occupies 20 ~ 30% of the total vehicle weight should be minimized.
Aluminum is 50% ~ 60% lighter in weight than steel and has excellent rigidity and corrosion resistance to withstand loads.
V-ARM is used for trunnion type tandem suspension of large trucks and buses.
It is equipped with the function of stabilizer that controls rolling, and it is attached to ensure more stable movement posture of the vehicle while driving.
Therefore, it is an important part of the suspension device that controls the vibration transmitted from the road surface during driving to improve the driving performance (steering stability) and provide a comfortable ride feeling.
