Electrolytic tough pitch copper rods of significant dimensions (10x10x200mm) were processed by Incremental Equal Channel Angular Pressing, which resulted in significant enhancement of mechanical properties, but also in a reduction of electrical conductivity. After processing the rods were subjected to short annealing, which made it possible to achieve conductivity of 94 %IACS without significant changes in the mechanical properties, reaching 130 HV0.2, which gives a very good ratio of electrical conductivity to strength in comparison to other processing methods. The work focuses on microstructural changes that influence mechanical properties and electrical conductivity. The proposed method offers a possible solution to manufacture rods of significant sizes with good mechanical strength and electrical conductivity.
