College has left me seasoned with materials knowledge and internships, and they have allowed me to hone my aspirations and the career I desire. I have always felt that I need to branch out and experience as much as this world has to offer, so I completed three independent internships during the summers of my college years. I began with industry, conducting performance and reliability research on a tea machine for Franke Foodservice Systems. I then participated in a short research program at UT, followed by a half-summer academic program at the London School of Economics. Finally, I took on a full-time summer research program at ORNL on silicate synthesis. And yet, after all of this, I want to work in industry. I yearn to get an MBA and work my way to the top. I have an open mind but am most interested in polymers, renewable energy, and nanomaterials.
