Recently, WS2 as a 2-D transition metal dichalcogenide material has gotten a lot of attention for electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution. Typical systhetic route for 2-D TMDC is sulfurization of transition metal oxide mateirals. It is well known that nanosized WO3 colloids can be prepared easily with controlled size distribution. Electrophoretic deposition is also one of the useful technique for deposition of colloidal materials on substrate. In this presentation, we will present the WS2 nano-electrocatalyst preparation via electrophoretic deposition and sulfurization using WO3 colloidal solution. We will also prosent the morphologies, phase analysis and performance of hydrogen evolution reaction of WS2 electrocatalysts on carbon electrode.
